
The highlight at the end of the first year student’s Fall semester is the Design I Portfolio Party, this year it’s just the students, no family and friends, but it is still a celebration.

2016 Photojournalism graduate Allison Lee Isley won the Student Photographer of the Year award at the annual North Carolina Press Photographer’s Association meeting. Allison’s portfolio included images she made for class assignments, her internships and her first job. Allison is now a staff photographer at the Winston-Salem Journal.
Randolph Community College’s 2016 Portrait Studio Management students are inviting the public to view their final portfolios at the school July 20-22.
The portfolios will be available for viewing in the 2nd-year portrait bays in the Photography Imaging Center on the Asheboro Campus from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday, July 20 and 21, and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday, July 22.
Portfolios from the following students will be on display Rebekah Cross, Chelsea Mehalek, Sarah Mitchell, Javas Reid, Melea Schneider and Tasha Thomas, Durham.
Students had their work critiqued by professional photographers James Walters, Lindsay McManus, Karen Goforth and Kevin Glaser.
