Here’s a quick update from our trip to New York as exhibitors and attendees of the Photo Plus Expo. Our group (three Faculty and six students) arrived in the city on Weds morning, and we hit the ground running. The day included buying furniture for our booth, checking-in and setting up at the Expo, and touring the School of Visual Arts MPS, BFA-Photo, and MFA-Photo facilities. We wrapped things up with a meal in Chinatown, and some much needed rest before hitting the Expo floor on Thursday morning. Our table was buzzing all day Thursday, as we met with conference attendees, graduates, and a wide variety people interested our Photography program. Many people said they stopped just to tell us how happy they were to see us at the Expo for the first time. Some of the students worked at teaching assistants in the hands-on digital photo seminars, and had the opportunity to work with Kevin Ames and Katrin Eismann just to name a few. We will continue our presence at the Expo until it closes on Saturday afternoon, so please feel free to stop by our booth if you have a chance.
